I have ready many reviews about the colourpop no filter concealer and felt I needed to give it a try for myself. The brand Colourpop is affordable and the products I have previously tried have been incredible in quality for such a low price tag.
I placed an order to try the No filter concealer, I am usually a Tarte Shape Tape fanatic, so I stepped out of my comfort zone to try something new. I ordered the shades Fair (5) and Beige (25). But I have so far only tried the fair shade given it is January and far too chilly for me to be fake tanning.
About the product
Colourpop describe their No filter concealer as “Our lightweight, creamy concealer was formulate
Now they are claims I often see and think wow I must try, rarely do I actually feel the products live up to their claims. When I am looking for a concealer I want it to have a good covrage without looking cakey, I like it to brighten my under eye and to not crease.

Trying out the product
I applied my colour pop no filter concealer in the shade fair (5) which is for fair skin with warm undertones.( I don’t have warm undertones, I’m pretty neutral but this matched perfectly for me). I had moisturised my under eye area as I do daily when applying my moisturiser, didn’t apply an under eye cream although I feel on more mature skin this would be a good idea. This image shows my under eye area without concealer, dark bags visible.
I applied the concealer once my face makeup was applied. When applying a concealer I like to apply in in a triangle shape.I then use a damp sponge (Real techniques is my favourite) to press the concealer into my skin, being careful not to drag or rub the product. I personally find this gives me the best coverage and blend ability.
Once applied you could powder if you want to, I have dry skin and any powder under my eye looks horrible, therefore I skip the powdering. I finished with a setting spray to keep my makeup in place. I am currently enjoying Urban Decay chill setting spray which keeps my makeup in place all day, whilst looking freshly applied.
You can see here what the concealer looked like once blended in.
The coverage of this little beauty is great, I’ve given it a 4/5 simply because it isn’t as full as my shape tape concealer. However it is a lot more natural looking whilst giving me the right amount of coverage. I am very happy with how it covers my dark under eyes without needing to colour correct.
This concealer is so creamy and easy to blend, it took no effort at all to blend into my skin.
It looks beautiful on my skin, not too matte but not dewy either. I felt it made me look fresh faced and awake.
Staying power 5/5
I used my usual moisturiser and setting spray with this product and it stayed put for the 10-12 hours a day that I wear makeup. No touch ups required throughout the day which as a busy mum of 2 small children this is exactly what I need from a product.
$6, yes that’s not a typo it cost me $6 plus customs fees.
Colour range 4/5
I think the colour range is good, like with most brands I feel it could do with a few more darker shades.
Simple but stylishly packaged with a lovely applicator. The only downside is it is more difficult to use if your using as part of a professional makeup kit, as you can’t use the applicator supplied for hygiene reasons.
My rating 5/5
I would definitely recommend this concealer and since trying a week ago I have been wearing it every day. It is now most definitely a staple in my own makeup bag and ive already placed another order to ensure I don’t run out. The only potential downside of the product is that it is currently not available in the UK from colour pop and therefore I am shipping in from America. However this doesn’t bother me.
